‘Atrovirens’ western red cedar forms a rapid, dense hedge 6 m with dark glossy sprays and aromatic bark. Endures wind, shade and wet soils, providing excellent sound and privacy screens. Hardy to −25 °C. Shear in late spring and July to keep a tight wall; deep green colour responds well to balanced feeding.
