Silver germander is a sun‑loving Mediterranean shrub 1.5 m with silvery downy leaves and a long season of lavender‑blue flowers that draw bees. Heat, salt and drought tolerant, it’s perfect for coastal xeriscapes and gravel gardens. Grow in full sun, poor alkaline soil and shear lightly after the main flush to keep a compact dome. Hardy to about −10 °C; protect roots with grit mulch in colder regions.
