RHYNCOSPERMUM jasminoides

Star jasmine is an evergreen climber 6–8 m with twining stems and glossy oval leaves that flush bronze in winter. From June to August it produces masses of star‑shaped, pure white flowers whose heady scent rivals true jasmine. Needs a warm, south‑facing wall, fertile, well‑drained soil and support wires. Hardy to about −10 °C; mulch roots in cold regions. Prune after flowering to restrict and train the fragrant curtain.
