Virginia creeper scrambles 15 m, self‑clinging with pads, and blazes crimson each autumn. Small summer flowers produce blue berries for birds. Thrives on walls and trees in any soil, sun or shade; hardy to −30 °C. Cut back in winter to control and remove stems from gutters.
