‘Tricolor’ jazzes up O. ilicifolius with cream and pink variegation splashed across the spiny leaves. Slower (2 m) and slightly less hardy (−12 °C) but unbeatable for winter brightness in shade. Maintain colour by removing green reversions; prune after flowering.
