Osmanthus armatus features deeply toothed, bronze young leaves that mature dark green on a 4 m shrub. Tiny white autumn flowers release intense apricot fragrance. Best in part shade, moist acidic soil; hardy to −12 °C. Minimal pruning—remove crossing wood after flowering. Provides texture and scent to woodland borders.
