‘Galissoniensis’ is a hardy French selection of evergreen southern magnolia bearing huge, lemon‑scented ivory flowers up to 25 cm across from July to September. Glossy dark leaves have russet felt beneath. Forms a conical tree 12 m, happy in sun or part shade on fertile, neutral‑acid soil. Protect young plants from severe frost; mature trees hardy to −15 °C.
