Italian woodbine twines 6 m, producing cream‑pink, sweetly scented trumpets in May–June followed by red berries. Semi‑evergreen leaves join at the tip forming discs around stems. Grow in sun or light shade with roots cool and top in light; hardy to −20 °C. Prune after flowering to keep growth in bounds.
