Oleanders are evergreen shrubs 2–4 m bearing trumpet blooms in shades of white, pink, red or apricot from June to October, paired with leathery, linear leaves. Highly salt‑, heat‑ and drought‑tolerant, they’re perfect for Mediterranean and coastal plantings. All parts are poisonous—wear gloves when pruning. Grow in full sun, well‑drained soil; hardy to −5 °C, so container culture recommended in colder regions.
