Heavenly bamboo forms airy clumps 1.5 m with finely divided leaves that flush red in spring and flame crimson in winter. Panicles of white flowers in summer set red berries. Grows in sun or shade, any well‑drained soil; hardy to −15 °C. Minimal pruning—remove old canes at ground to renew.
