Chinese fringe flower is an evergreen 1.5 m shrub with spidery hot‑pink tassel blooms in spring and sometimes autumn. Burgundy foliage deepens in winter. Needs acid, free‑draining soil, full sun to light shade and shelter from cold winds; hardy to −8 °C. Light prune after bloom to shape; excellent in containers and Asian‑style borders.
