Algerian ivy has large, leathery green leaves and thick stems that quickly cover walls or ground in mild climates. Hardy to −8 °C, it prefers shade and moist soil but tolerates sun if roots are cool. Excellent for coastal gardens due to salt tolerance. Trim in spring to restrain and remove any self‑layered stems to control spread.
