CHAMAEROPS excelsa

Windmill palm (syn. Chamaerops excelsa, Trachycarpus fortunei) is the hardiest feather palm for temperate gardens, with a solitary fibrous trunk and fan‑shaped fronds forming a rounded crown 3–8 m tall. Hardy to −15 °C, it thrives in sun or partial shade and well‑drained soil, withstanding snow, wind and coastal exposure. Minimal pruning—just remove old leaves—and occasional summer feed keep it lush, creating an instant tropical atmosphere
