Trumpet vine is a vigorous, self‑clinging climber that can reach 10 m, producing clusters of fiery orange‑red trumpets up to 8 cm long from midsummer to early autumn. The nectar‑rich blooms are adored by hummingbirds and bees. Grow in full sun against a sturdy support; once established it tolerates drought, heat and poor soils. Prune hard in late winter to keep size in check and encourage abundant flowering on new wood.
